an interesting picture of pre-dreadnought battleship USS New Jersey in a typhoon in the China Sea 1908. she is on her way to Japan as part of the Great White Fleet of US battleships sent on an around the world cruise 1908-1909. i always enjoyed storms at sea. sometimes it looked like we would dive to the bottom when coming down the side of a wave. we never did though, that's what submarines do,not icebreakers or battleships.
