i've come up with a few more pictures of drinking in the old west. this first one is in a hotel bar in Trinidad, CO in the 1880's. next is some folks playing Faro in a saloon in Arizona 1890's. last one is another saloon in Blackhawk, CO in the 1890's. not many females in evidence. maybe it's too early to have a drink yet. of course back then no decent female would be caught in such a place. not to mention out west men outnumbered women by quite a bit at this time. note the gaboons under the bar's foot rails. don't see those around anymore. maybe we should with the popularity of snuff these days.
