Again Belstaff....

Monday, September 27, 2010 | 0 comments

Belstaff is a well known outfit manufacturer especially among us motorcyclists, their tourist/trial master jackets were pretty much the official riding jacket for Isle of Mann races back then, and was made famous by Steve McQueen preferring the jacket at off-road races he participated.

The company was founded in Longton, Staffordshire in 1924. The company is now Italian-owned and based in Mogliano, Veneto. Yes, the Belstaff jackets are well-made and tons of celebrities have been spotted wearing them both on and off-set.

Some of them are used as product placements. The problem is that they are expensive as a shady high dollar whore that steal your wallet while you are in bathroom.

I spotted this Iron-man 2 Belstaff jacket. I have no idea if this particular model was used in the movie or not. I have seen the movie, just don't remember... This is simply a great example of bad taste. And its price is bit shy of 2000 US bucks!! Yes, it is more expensive than another bad taste yet, actual leather Iron man 2 riding suit. The charcoal color version is better looking and you don't look like a total douche bag, but still....

I always liked their riding jackets likes of Mojave wax cotton riding jacket, but if they keep making those idiotic stuff with ridiculous price tag, I might have to avoid it. I suspect that they are trying to be like Gucci, Chanel or any other brands that I don't care for. I want Belstaff to remain functionality-focused outfit company...

I want to pay for the quality not for the name, images and status of owning it. What? Harley Davidson?

Steampunk iPhone dock

Scott Freeland, the artist has created with iRetrofone Steampunk Copper edition.

"The iRetrofone Base is a fully-functional, stationary iPhone dock with working handset and complete compatibility with USB cable. Each individual iRetrofone is hand-sculpted and hand-cast in urethane resin. The iRetrofone base is made of heavy-duty, half-inch thick urethane resin creating a stable, functional work station that routes voice communications through the included handset. Designed to be compatible with the iPhone's (iPhone 3G, 3GS & iPhone 4G not included), it accommodates sync and charge functions via a USB cable (not included). The iRetrofone base also helps eliminate concerns about radiation."

It is available at Etsy

I think it needs more color, putting a leather strap and real copper plate or something on them. $450 for resin cast outer shell is bit steep in my opinion. Of course I have no idea how expensive it can to be a functional charger, handset and stuff. It might be reasonable...

Night Shadow

I have seen a picture of this bike while I research "cat and motorcycle" on computer. I did not think much of it till I found out that the body was made from high-grade stainless steel and power plant was air-cooled Buell S3's 1200cc V-twin engine.

NightShadows Maiden Voyage

NightShadows Maiden Voyage

Leaping Jaguar and Charging Bull motorcycles by Massow Concept Cycles. It price at £320,000 (about $567,000) damn...Over a half mil? I am gonna have to categorize as expensive shits.

I did not care for the music they put in there. Why they do that? With the dude's riding position, it is hard not to think of beastiality porn. Into the wild!!

It is not a purse, damn it.

British clothing maker, Belstaff makes a cool messenger bag, much like a satchel and used by Will Smith in the movie “I am Legend” but it is sooo expensive. It is mostly made out of cotton but cost you like 380 bucks. No Kidding. I like their motorcycle jackets as well ( made famous by McQueen, and worn by William H.Macy in “Wild Hogs”) but it is beyond my budget. I use a satchel when I go for a ride. It usually includes spare spark plugs, a fuel filter, pens, note pads, a toothbrush, a tube of toothpaste, floss, a nail clipper, a bandanna, deodorant, a t-shirt, latex gloves, bungee cords, and condoms. Why condoms? I put them on handle bars of the bike which I think is poorly customized.

I like their motorcycle jackets as well ( made famous by McQueen, and recently worn by William H.Macy in “Wild Hogs”, Brad Pitt in "-Benjamin Button") but needless to say, it is beyond my budget. The cheapest I could find was a women jacket, 150 bucks, and it was made of Nylon...

Tools are carried on my bike in case you are wondering...

Iron Man Leather Motorcycle Suit

Wednesday, July 7, 2010 | 0 comments

There is a company that made batman suit replica which worked as a motorcycle suit. I thought about writing it in this blog and decided not to since it made me sad that some guy would spend over a grand to buy the suit and go out pretending he was batman.... probably would not even have a motorcycle....Much to surprise, the same company did the same to Iron Man ...Iron Man Mark V Motorcycle Suit($1,298) is just like the batman suit- a wearable form molded leather motorcycle suit... This one includes spandex, cowhide leather, and pearl red & silver aluminum metallic leather... Available in both individual pieces and a complete set. If you really think about buying this, please consider to donate the money to WWF or your choice of charity organization. You probably would feel better doing that than satisfying your greed by getting this silly suit.

Mega Fridge

It is nice to hide or disguise your fridge if you often have rude guests that like to raid your fridge, leaving almost empty juice container or finish off the last beer you had and all. This massive, all-in-one fridge poses as a highly crafted ship cabinet. Sadly, cost you roughly 10K.... Well, if I hit a jackpot...wait, I probably donate the money to clean up the ocean before I buy this...Anyhow, it was available from an Italian company Meneghini. You can custom order something similar if you need to satisfy your greed.
