Zippo. first made in 1932 they are still being produced and still have the break it we fix it guarantee. i sent one to the factory years ago that had been run over by an automobile. they sent me back a new one. can't beat them if you camp or smoke. i still have a couple left over from my naval service in the 1960's.

Moto-Grip

Moto-Grip is a device that a New York product designer and a motorcyclist Andrew Lewis has come up with. It is a polyester webbing harness with padded handgrips on the front and back, giving passengers the choice of hanging onto either set. The grips are set high on the harness, to allow for a passenger that is sitting higher than the operator. (Like when the bike is a sport or crotch rocket type) Lewis claims that this arrangement maximizes stability and comfort for both riders.



The harness has a break strength of 2,000 pounds (907 kg), and can handle a passenger weighing up to 300 pounds (136 kg). They also made one for having kid as a passenger. It is cleverly named Moto-Grip Jr.

Most of Motorcycles are made for single person. Their shocks are not set for carrying another person all the time. Those foot pegs on the back are for emergency. If bikes are made to carry a passenger, they should be designed that way such as Gold Wing series. You think Gold Wing riders gonna use this straps? I just don't see the point of this product. You might get hurt more when you go down if you happen to get stuck to each other thanks to this product... Besides,wearing your back pack on your chest would do that same thing, I think.

We are in the Mid-West of USA, that means usually we have either magma hot weather or nut shrinking freezing cold weather. Not much in between. Yeah the temp here is getting high and we will not need any jackets in day time riding. Riding hot sucks balls to me since I sweat like a fat athlete; I get blinded by my own sweat trickling down from the forehead so I am all for riding cool.

According to an user review at Amazon, this is a piece of shit.

Ahahahahaha. I guess I will stick with wet towel/bandanna around my neck then or even this product seems reasonable .

Power of the Sun to keep your Battery alive

Battery dies a lot on bikes. Especially during the winter for those who don't have many warm days to rev it up. Yeah, trickle chargers are supposed to be attached during the hibernation, but that seems waste to me like having a cell phone charger permanently plugged into an outlet.

If you are interested, it is about 30 bucks with life time tech support. Good folks at parts express sell them. I buy almost all of wiring stuff from them and they have always reasonable prices.

Yeah yeah, this can be stolen when it is on bikes but that is always true on any bike parts if you park your bike unattended, out on crowded public. I got my bike kicked by some mindless coward and got fin broken the other day while I had my bike parked outside of the garage.

Bandit Helmets makes pretty cool vintage looking mets. I don't know how good they are over all, I mean comfort and ability to prevent head injury. One of them have Snell seal on it...I am sure more safe than a beanie, though... I like their "Fighter" met...

Most of them look like slight copy of Simpson helmets. I have worn some Simpson and I was not too impressed with the quality back then....A lot of loud noises from wind was too much for me...
Well, Bandit Helmets is radical; they even made one look like a vagina, which they call it "Ghost". They only made 50 of them and sold between 2009 to 2010. So you will not be able to own one unless you hunt at ebay and such. But do you want to look like giant vagina? Its visor is tiny and i would imagine the noises from the wind will be ridiculous, I think. So not really for motorcycle riding... They even claim that it is more art than practical helmet...

Lay Flat Chair

I used to sleep on a couch. I got the couch from a friend who was about to move back to Texas. I thought to myself that when I get married, I would probably sleep on a couch more than on a bed so I should get used to it. I got rid of mattress I had and started to sleep on the couch. Then, I figured that I might never get married so got rid of the couch as well. ( To tell you the truth, possessing heavy piece of furniture depresses me.) Now I happily sleep on a cot.

I spotted this chair the other day and thought was awesome. I always liked items that do more than one thing. It is an office chair that can lay flat, basically transforming into a cot. It takes only 30 seconds to do that. Its surface is covered with high quality synthetic leather. In Asia, many business people take power nap during the lunch break and also they often spend a night at the office in busy season so this chair is quite useful. This will be awesome in my studio. It cost 49800 yen (about 595 bucks) plus shipping. Comes with 1 year warranty. When it is stretched, it will be 170cm long. which is about 5' 7", so your feet might stick out bit. I did not see any weight limit but I am guessing if you are over 300lb, it might not be safe. The chair itself weight about 60lb.

It will be a nice chair for garage as well. You can lay many tools on them. Haha!!
