Harumoto Shouhei is a Japanese cartoonist/ graphic novelist.
Harumoto made his debut with a regular serialization in Weekly Manga Action, in 1987, his first breakthrough graphic novel called "Kirin", about street racing centered on mostly old school motorcycles was serialized in the motorcycle magazine, Mr Bike BG and became a bible to bikers in Japan. Kirin was such a big hit that some characters from the series was made into a figures along with their bikes. One of them was Mohi figure, which we talked about here before.
He has penned other series involving vehicles and some made it into a movie.
