Orphiro, Electric Cruiser

Orphiro is a new electric bike, developed by a Dutch project team led by Alexander Steegh.

The bike houses five batteries , representing a range of 100 km (62miles). Top speed is electronically limited to 120 km/h (74.6 mph). The purchase price will be 49,000 euros, which is like 72,000 US bucks. Cheaper than some ugly custom bikes build by famous custom builders...

Pedal you little ones

Designed and built in the Netherlands by De Café Racer, this pedal-powered bus can accommodate 10 little ones and an adult driver. This would be pretty cool idea in the US, actually. because this would help reducing pollution, prevents kids from getting grease dripping fats and also tiring them out= shutting them up.



As you might have guessed, most of kids are notoriously lazy thus it might not have enough pedal power, or kids too obese to get going. (not great power/weight ratio)



So, the bus-bike also has an auxiliary electric motor in case the little passengers are lazy and useless. The driver should make them walk home.

Steampunk Trike

This Steampunk racer trike was built by Kerry of the Netherlands.
"I've made a bicycle for the "12 inch race", which is a ride for charity with 500 participants riding on 12inch bicycles. Our bike was based on a big front wheel, and powered by 2 people on the back of the bike. We won the prize for best technical construction."

These Acoustic listening devices were developed for the Dutch army as a part of air defense systems research between World Wars 1 and 2. Those are useful for watching TV as well. I have made amplifier with cardboard from a beer box in order to get louder sounds without burdening cheap speakers.
