Clara was the daughter of the manufacturer of the Wagner Motorcycle. She may have been the first woman to join the Federation of American Motorcyclists in 1907. This was the predecessor of the AMA. She was among the top riders in a 1910 365 mile endurance race. However, she was denied a trophy because she was only a woman and unofficial. I don't know for sure but she may have used a satchel.
