Art of Stephane Halleux

Stephane Halleux is a sculptor from Belgium. And he has been showing his work all over Europe and once in the US. He utilizes leather, metal, wood pulp and recycled materials. "Passionately fond of Seventh Art and comic strips, he naturally began a career at an animation film studio in Luxemburg, first as a colorist, and then as a layout artist. Thus began a 7-year period of drawing uninteresting things (according to him) for other people without these possibility of creating anything else. He finally became frustrated by the lack of creativity and industrialization of animation, and left to work in a “bank-sale” furniture company. Among these old treasures, his first passion again rose to the surface."
His works are quite steampunkish and has feelings of Tim Burton art. I wound not be surprised to see one of those sculptures in animation movie like "Nightmare Before Christmas" There is also resemblance of art from an animation film, "Triplet of Bellesville"

Most of his works are 2 feet to 3 feet high. Again, I wish he sculpt motorcycle of some sort.
