this armoured ship Thursday there are no armoured ships. i was curious about armoured motorcycles and actually found a few. only one was fully armoured but the rest all had some armour plate so here they are. first is a 1908 Harley-Davidson with machine gun and armour plate used by the Canadian Armed Forces at the time. next we have a WWI era motorcycle and machine gun from England. third is a Harley-Davidson as used by the US Army around 1916. the last two pictures are also a Harley-Davidson which is fully armoured. this is between WWI and WWII and made in Denmark with an American motorcycle and Swedish made armour. armoured motorcycles did not become much of a success. the armour added too much weight and four wheel drive vehicles could carry much more of everything so the armoured motorcycle just sort of faded away. still be fun to have one though.
