Manassas attacking the U.S.S Brooklyn during the Battle of the Passes downstream of New Orleans on the Mississippi River. the Brooklyn was damaged but the Manassas later ran aground and was abandoned by her crew. shortly after she was set afire by U.S. gunfire and drifted off the sandbank and sank.
