the first BMW was the R32 which is here pictured. designed by Max Friz it was the hit of the Paris Show in 1923. a flat twin of 8.5hp and 494c.c. with a 3 speed hand shifted transmission. the R32 weighed 265lb. and was capable of 57mph.
