some tractors from the USA

after yesterday's German tractors i thought some from the good old USA would be appropriate. first we have a Minneapolis-Moline UTS with 4cyl. gasoline engine from the mid to late 30"s i'd say since it has the red grille. i got to run one of these when the farmer down the road hired me to plow for him. next is the Ford 4000 from 1965. this is like one i used to run on my Grandparent's farm. it had a 3cyl. Perkins diesel for an engine. it was new enough it even had an automatic transmission and power steering, what luxury! then we have a 1952 Case LA model with 4cyl. engine. as a youngster i used one of these on a large farm in western Kansas by Liberal. it pulled a one way plow. i got to find out why they called them a one way, very embarassing. we next come to the Ford Golden Jubilee NAA model of 1953 on the left and the Ford 9N on the right. both have 4cyl. gasoline engines ohv on the NAA and L-head on the 9N. i've operated both of these types on the farm. very dependable little tractors. last we have the famous John Deere Model D, this one from 1938. only 2cyl. here but plenty of low rpm power and a very distinctive exhaust note. i ran one of these one afternoon packing ensilage and had a good time doing it.
