steam tractors

Wednesday, October 13, 2010

since i seem to be on a tractor rant let us part the hoary mists of time and go back to the steam age. first we have a 1923 J.I. Case a big guy so he's probably putting out some 24 or so nhp. next is a Huber of around 1915 i'm guessing. third we have an English Burrell and next is a Fowler K7 ploughing engine also from England around 1917. and last we have the Avery under boiler engined steamer from the US of A. the Case and the Huber are also from the US. notice all but the Avery have their engines above the boiler. the Avery is also in use on the belt, probably turning a threshing machine.
