I always wondered about how Ralph "Sonny" Barger, a founding member of the Oakland chapter and the spokesperson for the Hells Angels thought of the TV show "Sons of Anarchy", which is about biker gangs... Apparently he likes it, "We watch it every week," Barger said. "It's a nice show and it seems like everyone likes it. But it's nowhere near my everyday life." The funny thing is that he will be in the show. I guess it was about to happen. The show had a writer, Stephen King as a club member /body disposer in one episode, and his character's name was Buckman just like his alternate pen name.
Sonny will be portraying one of "first 9", SoA's founding members, named Lenny Janowitz "Lenny the Pimp", on FX's finale season episode airing 30 November
Barger said he enjoyed filming the scene, but the process took a few hours, mainly because the lines in the script were comedically tinged and everyone kept "breaking up." "We had to redo it a few times," he said.
