Harley Davidson sales manual
Thursday, April 28, 2011
I have said many times; I don't hate the bikes, but the company and some of people who ride them annoy shit outta me. Hell for Leather had nice write up about how to sell Harley Davidson and they posted a few pictures from HD's sale-person's test ride manual. The pictures are obviously taken by a cell phone in hurry, suggesting that the photographer was pulling a sort of espionage move. According to Hell for Leather, the images were collected by a member of the Yamaha FZ1 Owner’s Association.
I don't know if you can read them well from these fuzzy pictures, but it sounds like to me that sale people are treating the potential buyers as low-self esteem, weak-minded fool. Well I guess if you have to buy an over-priced and out-performed motorcycle that you don't really need, you must be mentally challenged. It is almost like a trap. I would not be surprised if they plant some good looking chicks on such stores where they stop and tell the potential buyer he looks hot on the bike or something. Well long story short, the manual tells sales people to push images of Harley rider and how the buyer would look cool on it. Not the actual performance of the bikes. It is somewhat predictable from this TV ad
