i thought both Ryan and John would enjoy this picture since they are both Marines as well. not Royal Marines of course but US Marines. however, the duties of Marines be they Royal or US are much the same. this picture is circa 1910 aboard the Royal Navy Cruiser HMS Kent on the China Station.
