here's some pictures of the famous Kromer Cap. the old guy who looks like an engineer is an engineer. a locomotive engineer, his name is George "Stormy" Kromer the inventor of the Kromer Cap. apparently he kept losing caps from his locomotive as the wind would blow them off. along with his wife Ida, who made the first one, he designed the cap. this was sometime around 1903 or so. they became very popular with engineers and nowadays they are very popular as welding caps also. or painters caps or just for anybody who wants a colorfull cap. i've worn them for years. used to be able to get them at Hatman Jack's maybe still can. they last a long time so i'm still not needing new ones and therefore haven't been in Hatman's for awhile.
