having some difficulty finding info on the armoured ship i want to post. in the meantime could this be the world's most beautiful steam locomotive? the British "Duchess of Hamilton" designed by Sir William A. Stanier. she was built in 1937 for the LMS railway to compete with the A-4 class Pacific's designed for the LNER railway by Sir Nigel Gresley. both types of locomotive were capable of well over 100mph and indeed the A-4 class locomotive "Mallard" still holds the world's steam locomotive speed record with a speed of 126.5mph. this was done July 3, 1938 coming down Stoke Bank on the LNER'S East Coast Main Line.
