here are some pictures of various models of Lincoln Zephyrs. Zephyrs were made from 1936-42 and then from 1946-48. they were powered by a L-head V/12 engine of originally 267cu.in. and then 292cu.in. for one year there was an engine of 306cu.in. which did not work out so well and was discontinued. the top two pictures are 1936 Zephyrs in 4 and 2 door styles. the middle picture is of the V/12 engine. the 4th picture is a 1941 Zephyr and the last is 1947. my old man had one each of the 41 and 47 Zephyrs so as a child i got to do lots of miles in them. the old man didn't like the V/12 so took them out and put in Mercury V/8's which were more reliable. he also converted them to run on propane and put dual exhausts with glass paks on as well. they sounded great. i had a 46 model{looked just like the 47} myself while in the USN in the 1960's. it ran out of gas one night just as we parked it. it had a locking gas cap for which we couldn't find the key. after three days the city hauled it off. this was in Boston so they were quite strict about leaving a car on the street for over a day or two. never could come up with the money to bail it out and i've never had a Lincoln since. they were great looking cars.
