The inconvenience ($8000/yr and lazy) of car ownership vs. the inconvenience ($400/yr and fit) of bicycle riding. How much time do you spend every day sitting in your car or even working so you can afford the pleasure of car ownership? When you think that the bicycle might possibly be the fastest machine ever created. Factor the time it takes to make enough money to purchase a car, insure it, maintain it, put gas in it, spruce it up so it looks really cool... Check. , etc... Versus what it takes to buy a bicycle and get moving on down the road, the bicycle will win most every time. Just something to think about.
