Benelli Sei was the first production 6 cylinder bike from Italy. The company produced about 3200 units from'72 to'78.
Its motor was based on Honda CB500 four, so they look just like Honda motor from the side and the parts: pistons, rings, valves, and small ends can be taking straight from a Honda motor. Each cylinder had 125cc, so Sei was 750cc bike. The company and its designers were booed for "copying" Japanese, who was always "copying" European bikes, but the designers did improve layout of the bike so that motor would not stick out like other 6 cylinder bikes, which comes out later , in fact, Sei was only 2 inches wider than CB500four. Also the brakes were much better than Honda. Unlike CBX, Sei had 3 carburetors to feed the motor. Picture above is some crazy guy made it into 12 cylinder bike, Benelli Docidi....I am not sure if it is functional or even real. I kinda doubt it is. It might be a just darn photoshop picture.
