this date should be remembered by garage goons as very important. it is the date canned beer is first put on the market. and the Krueger Brewing Company of Richmond, Virginia was the brewery that did it. it took can makers this long to develop a can that had an interior coating that would not flavor the beer and that would also hold the pressure without leaking or blowing up. i miss the days of the church key to open beer and still have a fair collection of them.
